This is a collagen-rich energizer with vitamin and mineral-rich, energizing ingredients and healthy fats that create long-lasting satisfaction. If you are trying to eliminate a sugary coffee drink or avoid those late afternoon coffees with sweet snacks, this Chai Hot Chocolate or Latte is a wonderful, delicious option!
Ingredients
- 2 cups bone broth (the best bone broth to use is neutral in flavor, meaning you made it with only bones, no spices and no vegetables)
- 2–3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 1 tbsp. maca powder (optional)
- 2 tablespoons raw organic butter or ghee
- 2–3 teaspoons raw honey
- 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for a richer taste)
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients as they’re being warmed in a saucepan on the stove top, then blend up well in your blender. (Using a blender is optional, but better. Safety tip: Remove the center cap and cover the opening with a folded tea towel before turning on your blender. This will allow air to escape so that the hot liquid doesn’t cause the top to blow off your blender.)
- Add some almond milk, rice milk or coconut butter if you like a chai-latte taste
