If you read my last post on How Yoga Changed My Life, you’ll get a sense of the shifts that occurred for me from creating a yoga practice. I really learned a stronger connection with and appreciation for my body – along with a calming of my mind.
When I was in the initial stages of my recovery, I started taking yoga – somewhat reluctantly. In my fast-paced, workaholic days, I only valued fast-paced workouts – I felt like yoga would be too slow and boring. Then, yoga changed my life.
The funny thing about exercise addiction, is that we mask our addiction behind something people think is really healthy – and for some reason, it tends to go unnoticed by most people.
