Balancing Lemongrass-Fenugreek Tea

Anxiety? Insomnia? Fatigue? Who’s feeling it with all the swirling energy right now? After being away for a week and crossing into another time zone, on the tail-end weeks of the eclipse, the human tragedies as Mother Earth rages, the upcoming major seasonal change and fall equinox, you may be feeling more turbulence than ever.

When you add travel or a stressful situation to times like these, it can feel challenging to find stillness. With all this movement, stirring, moving emotions, like anxiety, sleep disruptions and resulting fatigue can be the norm.

Here is my return from home routine this morning…a grounding recipe that helps boost immunity and mood, and anchor emotions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken bone broth (use ginger tea as your base if you are vegan or don’t have any broth on hand)
  • 1-2 tablespoons raw butter, coconut oil or ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemongrass powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek powder

Instructions

Mix in a blender and sip. As you sip, send prayers for the world, Mother Earth, your loved ones and your health. Invite the feeling of balance into your body, mind, and spirit.

Studies show that lemongrass helps with:
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Stilling the whole body
  • Regulating cholesterol (inflammation)
  • Regulating triglycerides
  • Resolving yeast infections and thrush
  • Managing blood sugar – Diabetes
Studies show fenugreek helps with:
  • Eye health (cataracts)
  • Regulating cholesterol (inflammation)
  • Gallstones
  • Bacterial and viral infection
  • Kidney stones (mineral balance)
  • Liver health
  • Weight management
  • Regulating triglycerides
  • Blood sugar balance, insulin resistance

These spices are wonderful for balancing and regulating the body and mind, creating balance.
